Our 48RE Towing Transmission is perfect for the average person with a mild tune, or even stock trucks. The 48RE tow trans has an OEM input shaft so it is not reccomended for competiton use, but is perfect for your average daily driver with a little power. (400hp Max)

The Chrysler 48RE transmission is a four-speed automatic transmission that was released in 2003 behind the 5.9L Cummins Turbodiesel. In 2003-2007 Ram Trucks the 48RE was considered a strong improvement over the 47RE. The 48RE torque rating is up to 570 lb-ft.
