Our Stage 1 48RE transmission Is perfect for a rowdy street truck up to 700hp. This build is perfect for a truck with a solid tune, or even a turbo and a little more fuel. Boosted launches are not recommended due to the OE Stock output shaft. If Boosted launches are wanted we recommend upgrading to the stage 2 build.

The Chrysler 48RE transmission is a four-speed automatic transmission that was released in 2003 behind the 5.9L Cummins Turbodiesel. In 2003-2007 Ram Trucks the 48RE was considered a strong improvement over the 47RE. The 48RE torque rating is up to 570 lb-ft.
